NEET Scam: New revelations are being made every day about the irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has accepted some irregularities in the Supreme Court, but it has completely rejected the allegations of paper leak. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has clearly said that there has been no such thing as paper leak.

On the other hand, the police investigation going on in Bihar is constantly pointing towards paper leak. The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police is investigating this matter. Additional Director General of Police of EOU NH Khan said that 'There are many indications of paper leak. We had asked many questions to NTA, which conducts NEET. Their answers have come. After this, we may have to find answers to some more questions.'

Khan said that our SIT is now making efforts to confirm the evidence. Efforts are being made to find out who and from where obtained the question and answer sheets and how they reached the examination centers.

' The eight-member SIT is headed by EOU Superintendent of Police (Administration) Madan Kumar Anand. The SIT had seized admit cards, post-dated cheques and certificates of several candidates from members of an organized inter-state gang.

This shows that the candidates had paid money to an organized gang. The SIT said that there is evidence that suggests that question papers were burnt at a center after NEET, but there is not enough evidence to confirm that the paper was leaked. It is being investigated.

Dummy exam was conducted before the real one

An EOU official said, 'Out of the 13 people arrested so far in this case, four are candidates who had taken the NEET exam. The rest are their parents and members of the organised gang who allegedly assembled 35 candidates before the exam in a school and held a dummy exam. T

hey allegedly received the NEET question paper with answers there.' Some remains of burnt question papers have been recovered from the school, another official said. One of the arrested accused, Nitish Kumar, a resident of Gaya, was arrested earlier in the alleged paper leak case of the Bihar teacher recruitment exam, which was held on March 15.
